There must be a book on rabbit holes? I read this post then went out for coffee with my dad and a friend. He recounted a true story he's researching about a nova scotian man, an all season cold water swimmer, who went swimming in 1967 but never returned. (later found on the shores of St Pierre and Michelon). Then he quoted Amy Liptrot, who taught him why people cold water swim. I had to go home and watch the movie, immediately. WOWA. So good. And that ending! My dad says the book is even better. It's on my list. Thanks for this Abby.
haha! that was filmed in budapest and my friends were extras so we went to see it. when we realized they were cut out we left the movie. one of the only movies i've ever walked out of.
It was absolute garbage. I reread all the books a few years ago because I had given up part way through book 3 when it initially came out and wanted closure on the story. The source material definitely wasn’t as good as I remembered, but it still didn’t deserve that film.
I have managed to spend my whole life not seeing an adaption of Little Women and now don’t want to until I finally read it! It’s terrible, I know 🫣 but I just keep saving it for a special time to really savor it.
Also watching Ella Enchanted in theaters after eagerly waiting months for it to come out because I LOVED the book was one of the first times I remember being disappointed in life.
I know. I almost bought a copy in April thinking it was finally time, but now I’ve built it up so much I feel like it needs to be something I get on a trip and read there

Eragon too. I was devastated and just kept asking my parents why they wouldn’t have followed the story of the book.
