This really resonates w me and my Mormon upbringing!
“I really don’t know why homosexuality and gender is the hill so many evangelicals choose to die on; the magnitude of harm they have inflicted is beyond comprehension and I truly cannot grasp the reason behind it other than another classic case of us vs. them-ing.” Same!!

Thank you for sharing your anger with us! The evangelical right’s obsession with the oppression of the LGBTQ+ community is both baffling and enraging. I appreciate your willingness to share your perspective and experience.
ONTO THE BOOKS: I haven’t heard of any of these and want to read them all, especially the first! When the library is back up *sob* I’ll add them to my queue.
I just finished the second in the Marvelous Light series by Freya Marske, which feature magical gay protagonists. I very much enjoyed the first one, and though the second took me quite a while to finish I still liked it. (Not sure if the author identifies as LGBTQ though…)
Would definitely add How You Lose The Time War to this list (which I think you put in a different post? Maybe?).
Also I know you’re not a poetry person and poetry doesn’t fit with this theme, BUT I love Mary Oliver and will rep her on any Pride reading list.
